The Saskatoon & Region Home Builders' Association is committed to working on behalf of its members to foster a climate that facilitates growth in the residential construction industry and promotes affordability and choice in housing for all people in Saskatoon and Central Saskatchewan.

Home building, renovating, and decorating industries in Canada have seen significant advances and innovations over the past fifteen years. Many changes in our industry have improved the efficiency and comfort levels of homes whether through new home construction or home improvements. Innovations and new housing designs also improve the options for decorating and interior design in today's homes.

The Saskatoon & Region Home Builders' Association is committed to providing full support for initiatives that impact home owners, builders, renovators, educators, and all other individuals and businesses involved within the residential construction industry.

Our Association is also dedicated to bringing awareness to youth, parents and career counselors as to the many rewarding opportunities in the residential construction industry. We continue to work hard setting up partnerships and alliances with governments, curriculum developers, school divisions and apprenticeship boards to promote the trades and professions in our industry as viable career choices. Our joint efforts address a need within our industry, and they also enhance opportunities for future economic benefit for our communities and province. Promoting and improving the career path for our youth also ensures that they will have a reason to stay and build their careers and home in Saskatchewan.

The residential construction industry has an immense impact on our social, economic, and political fabric. Similar to education and health, quality housing and housing affordability is a cornerstone which is vital to sustainable communities. We are vigilant in our work with all governments to control costs and ensure affordable and appropriate housing is available in Saskatoon and Central Saskatchewan. Cost increases that affect housing affordability remain top priorities with our Association. As an organization, we are proactive in discussions with all stakeholders - municipal, provincial, and federal governments, developers, builders, and consumers in order to maintain and improve quality, affordability and choice in housing.
