CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL HOME BUILDER
The Certified Professional Home Builder Program was instituted and is administered by the Saskatchewan Home Builders' Association. All builder members of the Home Builders' Associations in Saskatchewan must maintain staff or hired professionals that have completed the courses and examinations of the CPHBP.
Courses include: Business Management, Finance & Banking, Sales & Marketing, Construction Management, Service & Warranty, Costing & Estimating, Sales-New Homes, and Code Construction.
Certified builders must have successfully taken these courses and/or passed the exams in these various components of home building. Each builder member of the Home Builders' Association must also be a member of an approved warranty provider to ensure protection for the builders' customers.
Upon fulfilling these requirements, the builder receives a master certificate designating them as a Certified Professional Home Builder.
The courses completed by each builder provide them with the tools to construct homes that are world renowned for their energy efficiency and quality of construction. All this takes place in a tough competitive market with many outside challenges.
Contact the Saskatoon & Region Home Builders' Association at 955-5188 or e-mail careers@chbasaskatchewan.com to arrange for course manuals or examination.
